Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelet Rich Plasma

The Eclipse PRP® system is an extremely safe injection procedure that can provide a natural and effective alternative to the many of the manufactured or surgical treatment options on the market today that are being used to treat everything from facial rejuvenation to hair loss and beyond. Eclipse PRP® is a proprietary system that is based on blood separation according to density using a unique separation gel. The system allows for the preparation of pure platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with optimal platelet concentrations and cellular content.

What can PRP Treatment Do for Me?
Platelet-rich plasma is prepared by taking a small sample of the patient’s own blood, then separating platelets from platelet-poor plasma (PPP) via centrifugation. Next, the PRP is collected and may be applied to the treated site. Eclipse PRP can be used for facial rejuvenation as an injectable or in combination with the MicroPen® Elite and MicroPen® EVO microdermabrasion systems to deliver the growth factors to the dermis of the skin. Platelets carry several growth factors that will increase rebuilding of tissues by stimulating new collagen and blood vessel formation giving the skin smoother and healthier look. PRP has also been shown to be effective in treating men and women’s sexual health issues and for surgeries affecting soft tissues, among other treatments. When PRP is concentrated with larger volumes it can be used for stimulating hair growth in men and women with pattern baldness, since PRP contains growth factors that stimulate the development of new hair follicles and improve the health of existing ones. This therapy is perfect for patients who are not candidates for a surgery or those wanting a more aggressive nonsurgical treatment.

Platelet Rich Plasma Q &A

What condition does the PRP  help with?
PRP can help to address multiple signs of aging such as age spots,  hyper-pigmentation (melasma), acne spots and scars, fine lines and wrinkles, and improves the appearance of dull, “tired-looking” skin. It can be used on the face, neck, décolleté’, arms, and neck—the areas that often reveal the most tell-tale signs of aging and sun damage.

What should I expect from a PRP Treatment?
Please arrive at your appointment having eaten a meal and drank sufficient water that day. After we ensure you are a candidate for PRP by reviewing your past medical history, we will obtain a small sample of blood and spin it down to collect the PRP. From there the PRP will be injected into either the scalp, under eyes, scars or other area of concern. Topical numbing cream is used to make the treatment comfortable for the client.

What should I expect after a treatment?
You can expect to experience swelling and possibly bruising in the treatment area, so please plan accordingly for social events.

Visible changes to the skin/hair develop over the course of several weeks. Results continue to improve up to six months after the treatment. Some clients only require a single treatment in one visit just once a year to achieve noticeable results. However, we recommend that clients receive a series of two to three treatments spaced 4-8 weeks apart for best results.

Can this be added onto Morpheus 8 or Microneedling?
Yes, PRP is a great addition to M8 or microneedling treatments to get the best results possible. Ask about add on pricing during your consultation.
